Yassa has been deeply connected with art since childhood. During her school years in Ukraine, Yassa developed a strong interest in drawing. Whilst in high school she began attending an art studio. She actively participated in numerous children's drawing competitions, with her works being featured in exhibitions. In high school, Yassa enrolled in an art school where she focused on academic drawing and painting. She then pursued further studies at the university level, culminating in a master's degree in architecture. Following her academic achievements, Yassa embarked on a career in graphic design. She paints in various techniques and styles, utilizing different materials such as watercolor, gouache, acrylic, pastel, and graphics. Yassa particularly enjoys creating still lifes, landscapes, natural motifs, and floral subjects.
Philip Okwara, originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, brings a rich background in arts and culture to his work in Sydney. Specializing in the Petrykivka style—a traditional Ukrainian art form—he intertwines themes of nature, particularly floral motifs, into his vibrant artworks. With a foundation in decorative arts and a degree in English Teaching, Philip's journey from interpreter to advocate for creativity and expression underscores his commitment to both artistic tradition and community service.
Maria Mykytyuk is 38 years old. Maria has been fond of drawing since childhood, while studying at school she attended a drawing group in Petrekivka folk technique. Maria was the winner of school drawing competitions and the illustrator of the student newspaper. In her city, Maria held annual drawing contests for children in the local library on the theme of love for nature. Olena Vigovska is an Australian artist, born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where she studied Visual art. Her work includes a variety of mediums and subjects. Taking inspiration from the beauty of the Australian landscape, Olena is passionate about illustrating the wonders of the natural world around her. Ranging from watercolours of plants and animals to large scale landscapes. Her luscious and bright colour palette can be seen all throughout her work, as well as in her classical still life and floral paintings.
